They should have a place specifically for the Peppermint Parkway, which is what this rating is for. Considering the traffic, they handled things pretty well, signage on the way in could have been better, such as wait times and price for fast lane. Had their been a sign saying 1 hour wait for general, 20 minute wait for fast lane for $20 or whatever the price was, I probably would have paid it. Lights were enjoyable, but their fm transmitter did not work, so the only music we heard was playing on loudspeakers. Given the wait time and the drive to get there, I will probably give it a miss next time around.
We went to the Peppermint Parkway light show, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! If it is on every year I will probably go again! I can't recommend it because it is closed for the year π
But like I said if it's going next Christmas I will be going and you should too
We had a fun experience at Peppermint Parkway this weekend. If you have the ability, I would recommend purchasing the fast pass if you have young kids since the wait is pretty long. We put lights on our car to decorate and the staff complimented it, we appreciate their enthusiasm. Buy tickets online the day before because they did sellout on the day we went.
Great experience at the karting track. We had a blast. We also hit up their Christmas light drive through and got to drive on the actual track. All in all it was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this place for the whole family. ππ
Always a good time. Track is awesome to drive, racing is always entertaining. Wear good walking shoes and get some exercise. Let's recap, its a 3.4 mile race track and you are on the outside perimeter most of the time, nothing is close, this is not a mall.
Beautiful Drive through Christmas Presentation. Cool Kiddy Carnival at the end of the light show. Christmas movies are playing on big screen as you drive through.
Moved from Ohio and we saw the ad on Statesman.com. It does not get better than this in Central Texas! Peppermint Parkway was awesome. Never did I ever think I would be driving our minivan on an Formula 1 track lol. Merry Christmas y'all!
Really fun track. They have nice large garages with plenty of room. Only setback is that there is only 4 FUEL pumps on track, two have the 101 race gas but only one is available for racers. The other 101 pump is locked out for track crew ONLY!!! This causes long lines during busy race days for the one Pump that everyone needs.
Wife and I came for an Aprila event during the week. Staff was friendly facilities were clean. They were installing the Christmas lights around the track while we were there. This looked to be a huge project and wished we could be here for the final product. What they did have completed was pretty amazing already.
I was so glad to hear that they were building and F1 rated circuit in Austin. I've been to a lot of race tracks before and I must say this is the most beautiful track I've ever seen. Unfortunately wec is not running there anymore, which I think is unfortunate. The Austin 360 Amphitheatre is a wonderful place for concerts. Pretty much any seat will give you a decent View. Personally, I won't do the general admission on the hill. It's Grass. So if you do come bring a blanket or something to sit on.
Update, they have greatly increased the number of races taking place at the track. IndyCar is even here now. The amphitheater also has increased the number of concerts. And if I am not mistaken there is a full-size soccer field there now also
