It's free but you have to pay for all events. Food is catered and it does not feel like Oktoberfest. No German band playing music, no Hessians give speeches, everything is a price. This society could make this event more if tgey reached out to restaurants, historical groups, radio stations, military groups, and charged one fee at the door, it would be a great event. Less and less people attend. It was a great event a couple of years ago.
An urban oasis of history and nature. I love everything about it- farmers market, chickens, fresh eggs, HUGE trees, beautiful blooms, interesting peak into history, awesome staff, etc.!
Beautiful job of instructing agriculture life style to the youth of Philadelphia. If you ever need a tenant here or "The Tenant House"? Let me know.
