This is the best place to stay in Scottsdale! The staff their is very friendly, Alex and Robert at the valet stand were so sweet and kind! The rooms are clean and have a fun retro vibe! The pool is super amazing and fun, also kid friendly! Another perk of staying here is, it’s very close to Old Town Scottsdale. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!
Staff was first rate. Room was nice. Good was good.
Not having a top sheet on the bed was odd.
My biggest complaint is that the chairs in the room were very stylish and good to look at but absolutely horrible to sit in. Extremely uncomfortable.
We absolutely loved the hotel and amenities. The pool service (the pool is the main reason we came here) was excellent on the first two days. The third day of our stay, a Wednesday, the service was almost nonexistent despite a pretty light load in the pool area. At the end of the day with maybe 20 people in the pool area, we asked for our check...after having to hunt our server down because we hadn’t been approached in over an hour. Twenty minutes later and still not having received our bill to close out the tab, my husband went to the bar to close it out himself. Is this a deal breaker? No. Will I go back to The Ho? Yes. However, I do hope the management sees this issue and addresses it.Our first two days here we felt “special”, on the third not so much.
My husband and I stayed at the Valley Ho overnight from Thursday March 18th to Friday March 19th. The staff we interacted with while we were there (front desk/restaurant) were all very nice and we really liked our room. Unfortunately, my positive experience with Valley Ho ended that Friday morning as we were leaving the hotel when I, my suitcase and my computer bag went flying as the wheels of my spinner hit an extremely raised portion of the sidewalk that runs in front of the rooms that face the parking lot. We’re not talking about a small raise in the sidewalk. The height differential was big enough to stop my suitcase wheels as abruptly as if they’d run into a wall, which I guess they essentially did. I’m lucky I didn’t break anything on my body as I only came away with a strained back/hurt foot, but my brand new $1,100 computer wasn’t as lucky. Although it was in a padded computer bag, the force of it being thrown to the ground due to the extremely uneven sidewalk was enough to badly damage the housing.
I reported the incident to hotel security, showed them the dangerous portion of the sidewalk, “filed” an incident report and was told that their Director of Operations would be in touch with me soon. It’s now been a week since this happened and the response I’ve gotten so far is…Nothing. Nada. Zip. I even called the Director of Operations on Friday March 26th and left a message and…crickets.
The only thing I can surmise from Valley Ho’s lack of response/accountability is that they really don’t care whether their guests or their guests’ property gets damaged from their improperly maintained (i.e. dangerous) sidewalk.
To any future Valley Ho guests, especially those using a walker, wheelchair or even those who are just wheeling around their suitcase like I was, if you happen to use the same uneven sidewalk I did and trip and sustain damage because Valley Ho didn’t fix it expect the same response I got from them…NOTHING.
After having to wait to use the gym for 45 minutes because they were at capacity, the woman running the facility so rudely made us wear masks while doing intense cardio workouts. This would be fine, but it was an inconsistent rule that was frustrating. The room was hot at baseline, no water available for the guests.
Must, must do! I had "The Painkiller" 90 min treatment, body scrub and massage and it was truly DIVINE. Matt was amazing - some of the best bodywork I've EVER had!
First time visiting this spa and had an amazing time. The staff was so helpful and accommodating the whole way through.
The Valley Ho is my go to hotel in Scottsdale and the spa does not disappoint. My facial and massage were amazing. Highly recommend!
Amazing spot for new years eve!!!
