My girlfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant. We initially were interested because it was just far enough away from busier streets that there wasn't a wait. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Our waiter was very good. We would come here again.
This place is a hidden gem right in the middle of downtown Austin! Went there and had the best Pasta Carbonara I've ever had, with a beautiful egg yolk on top. Although I didn't get any, their pizza's were coming out of this beautiful wood fired oven and looked amazing, and I wish I had added that onto the perfection that was my Pasta Carbonara. The staff was ultra friendly and the owner seemed like he had a very warm personality. The place looked really cool with beautiful mosaics! I will certainly be back!
Thank you to Chef Renata and Owner Cesare for the best Langostino Pasta I've had since visiting Forte Di Marmi !!!!!
The hidden gem of downtown Austin! Great food, excellent prices! I love to get the Mr. Meatball panini with roasted potatoes, and all for $10 plus tax. So good! I love that I can always find a seat and even at noon. Laid back, cafe atmosphere. The only reason I hesitate to rave about Il Forte is because, everyone will go there and it will become too crowded to get a seat!
