Let me start off my saying I had my wedding at Addison Park in Aberdeen and this is the only hotel that has transportation within the area. My now wife and I met with the general managers on site which seemed to go fine but they are beyond strict about the check in time for guests they won’t let anyone check in early even if you request it. I hosted a wedding that began at 4 and check in was at 3..... that’s a time crunch and it becomes unwelcoming to my guests to have to rush. We were getting ready at the hotel and to do so we had to book rooms for two nights to again avoid their no early check in. We spent close to $650 in rooms just to get ready. They let my wife use a conference room that had one small fold out table for the makeup artist or the hair dresser to use. They had to go downstairs to ask for more tables because the closet door in the conference room was jammed shut with tables so you couldn’t open the door to get the tables that you needed. For our guests when checking in we had hospitality bags which some guests got and others didn’t. We were specific that each of our guests that check in get a bag, the bags were all gone only to the wrong wedding, they had another set of blocked out rooms by a completely different wedding. They have a rule for the bridal suite as well you need to book 25 rooms to get the bridal suite for free for the bride and groom. We had a smaller wedding that’s nearly impossible when people live locally, needless to say we couldn’t have the bridal suite unless we paid $350 for it. That’s ridiculous we brought business to both you and the restaurant within your hotel. We were able to book 18 rooms, we held the vibe bar open and had a sit down breakfast the next morning. Instead we got a regular room on our wedding night with nothing extras or anything special. They claim they are about hospitality and I 100% disagree with them having hospitality.
I spent the night there for a wedding this past weekend. The staff and room were great, but I thought it was pretty expensive for the overall quality of the hotel. Outside of the rooms and the lobby the hotel definitely needs an upgrade. Also they need to add some type of security for the hotel for when they have a lot of wedding parties/other parties staying there. One customer (who was completely wasted and hanging out in the lobby because he was kicked out of the club they have attached to the hotel) almost got into a fight with a pizza delivery guy. Very uncomfortable and unsafe for the people who were also hanging out in the lobby. Again this was not an issue with the staff but I feel like if there was some type of security hanging around this situation would not have happened.
It’s 12: 20 AM and there’s a party going on on the second of this hotel. First of all what hotel puts a ballroom 10 feet from its suites? The music is so loud it is impossible to get to sleep. The rooms aren’t bad but if you book a room here make absolutely sure you’re as far from the ballroom as you can. The worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel.
Good, fair price, clean and fairly well maintained. Ask for a room away from the bar and front door. You'll have a quieter night.
