My favorite cafe in all of DC. Social justice focused, hyper local, great products and books. The staff is so friendly and I'm glad they're back open!
Excellent vibe, vision, mission & pay-it- forward program.
Great coffee and breakfast. Love supporting my local bookseller
*COVID REVIEW*
I love this cozy spot in the neighborhood and have been really impressed with their pandemic plans. They always carry a great collection of new, diverse, and unique books and continue to make them super accessible. Their little cafe is also great for breakfast or a midday snack. I really appreciate how seriously they're taking masks and disinfecting while also making it easy for you to browse. They also keep their front patio open with well spaced tables and chairs.
Surprisingly good breakfast sandwiches in a cozy coffee shop bookstore environment. Food can be of varying quality. Not many open seats during busy hours.
Everyone here was super friendly and offered to shuffle seats to accommodate my boyfriend and I. We had the tofu bahn mi, vegan biscuits and gravy and grain bowl. Biscuits and gravy were seriously the best I've ever had - turmeric gravy was fire.
Cute local coffee shop and bookstore. This place is always busy and the staff are always helpful. Definitely worth a try since they have a good menu as well.
I want to number back! What a wonderful place. Atmosphere of home. Try their chai tea and gingerbread... It's the best thing I've ever tasted
A very nice cafe with a modest, yet fairly comprehensive book selection. Had an espresso over ice. Loved the glass jar served in.
They also use a very fair trade roaster.
